The Central Bank of Ghana; the Bank of Ghana (BoG), a financial regulatory body in the country has directed and served notice that the World Remit Ghana money doubling scheme is fraud and as such, everyone must stay far away from it as much as possible.
The country has witnessed different forms of Ponzi schemes put up to satisfy the quick money demands of some citizens. Some of these schemes begin their operation well in order to attract the interest of the larger population and then close down, taking away with them investments of members.

The latest among the Ponzi schemes to have passed through the country is the Chy Mall (Colour Your Life) Scheme which a large number of Ghanaians have fallen prey to after the scheme closes down in the name of making upgrades to their systems.
Then also came Petron Pay. A platform that was stated to enable patrons to invest monies into oil dealership companies abroad while receiving daily remittances.
World Remit Ghana however according Bank of Ghana is distinct from the globally renowned Fintech Company ‘WorldRemit’ which exists as a registered institution basically for international money transfers across the world.

The Ghanaian copycat, however, allows customers to select some preferred packages from which a code would be generated by the fraudsters with which they can hack the WhatsApp account of the victim.
This scheme is therefore fraudulent and does not offer its investors the gains promised before their interest in it.
By this, the bank of Ghana cautions everyone against showing interest and patronizing the services of these people.
