The Ghanaian national team, the Black Stars have being in Abuja, Nigeria for the second leg of their World Cup qualification match with the Super Eagles of Nigeria and as custom, they need to train ahead of the match.
One thing that shook social media was when a video of the Star’s training session in the evening pulled up online in total darkness as it seems the dumsor in Ghana has followed them into international waters.
Socialites could not hide their anger as many people think it is a ploy to deny the Ghanaian team good training so that Nigerians can have the upper hand going into the match later.
According to many people who reacted to the viral video, they could not understand why a national stadium in the country’s large city, Abuja could not provide a backup light when the national grid could not.
In the video, the Stars seem to have finished with their training session and took some time to engage themselves in what is usually referred to in Ghana as ‘jama’ where they clap, sing, and dance in joy.
