For months, tension has built up between Russia and Ukraine and finally, Russia drops some misles in the major cities of Ukraine including the seat of the presidency, Kyiv.
As much as the Ukrainian army is trying to fight back, the invasion by Russian forces which is described as unprecedented seems to have gotten to a young soldier who called his parents on a video call.
In a viral video, a Ukrainian soldier gives an account of the extent of the attack Russia has launched on Ukraine and how less powered they are to fight back.
On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a large-scale invasion of Ukraine, signaling a significant escalation in the ongoing Russo-Ukrainian War.
The campaign was preceded by a long-term Russian military buildup that began in early 2021, as well as Russian demands that Ukraine is lawfully barred from joining NATO.
In the video, the young soldier was worried about his safety by sending what seemed to be his last words to his family.
With the airstrip overtaking some major cities in Ukraine, the local soldier felt his life was in danger as he felt incapacitated to fight the invasion from Russia.
