One of the shining stars in the 2021 edition of the National Science and Maths Quiz contest, from the Volta Region, Francisca Lamini has admonished young girls who still have their entire future ahead of them not to waste it but rather put it to good use.
Francisca Lamini became the country’s favourite after winning the award of the best female student, becoming the only girl to have reached the finals of the Quiz contest in a period of eight years and coming from a school that reached the finals for the first time in their history as a school and as a region.
Speaking in an interview along with her colleagues and Quiz coordinator, Francisca was given the chance to admonish young girls who are still in schools across the country and have to focus on social media and the current trends while destroying the future their parents are working so hard to build for them.
While making use of the opportunity, Francisca called on young girls across the country and the world to remain focused on their dreams and aspirations while drawing strength from those dreams. She went on to mention that, although it is not easy to be a girl in these times, there is the need for them to remain strong and courageous in all their endeavors.
Coming from a Christian background, Francisca asked her fellow girls to look up to God in all their ordeals and as they do that, they should remain humble and learn from their elders in order to reach higher heights.
