Former Deputy Minister of Communications in the John Mahama led NDC government Victoria Hammah has thrown some words of caution to the most outstanding female contestant of the 2021 National Science and Maths Quiz, Francisca Lamini for trying to act angelic.
Francisca Lamini received an invitation to join the champions of the 2021 edition of the National Science and Maths Quiz, Prempeh College on a free trip to Nairobi and Dubai in early 2022.

But the information we gathered some time ago indicates the unwillingness of Francisca to go on the trip without her teammates from Keta SHTS.

Francisca disclosed in an interview with TV3 Ghana that she has lived her moments of the competition with other members of the team, especially the two guys she sat on stage with, and as such cannot feel happy on a trip dubbed as fun among other people from the winning school.
Even though some Ghanaians applaud the decision, others think otherwise. Reacting to the decision of the young lady, Victoria Hammah seems unhappy as she states her reasons for not taking sides with Francisca.

According to her, the decision of Francisca is not heroism but an attack on Gender Affirmative Action.
She wrote: This is not heroism but attack against Gender Affirmative Action!
This “brave” girl hasn’t yet understood the world.
She is yet to recognize that her singular celebratory experiences from the competition results from centuries of activism towards women’s liberation and that the reward wasn’t only for her but for the collective struggles of all women.
She is only profiteering from the works and struggles of women and men before her who have and continue to to fight for a gender balance society.
And all those who applaud her for rejecting the reward extended to her, similarly also lack the historical understanding of women’s liberation struggles.
