Abdulwaheed Waliu, a 400-level student of the Department of Microbiology, Faculty Of Life Sciences, University of Ilorin, UNILORIN, Kwara State, has been arrested for b*ating a lecturer on campus.
It is hard to believe how the children we train have turned out but the truth is there will always be some bad nuts among the lots and all we can do is to pray and hope that they someday see the light and move away from their bad deeds.

It was gathered that the suspect is also popularly known as Captain Walz, reportedly didn’t observe the compulsory Students Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES) and sought the lecturer’s help.
The lecturer who has been identified only as Mrs. Zakaria is said to be the suspect’s supervisor. Reports from the campus say he went to her office to seek her assistance over his issue because he couldn’t do the SIWES. Entering her, office, he started hitting the table and so the woman abused him (verbally) which led to him moving closer and beginning to sl^p her.

An eyewitness says she tried escaping and calling for help but to no avail. The said student dragged her outside and began p*nching her on the face in front of the department’s building.
Passers-by saw what was happening and he attempted to run but was caught by the school’s security who in return handed him over to the police for the law to take its course dully with him.
This is a really sad incident to happen to anyone even if that person had offended you in any way.
