NCDC Update on Covid-19 is given at regular intervals to keep involved and aware of the impact of the disease on the Nigerian population. There are three phases to the updates; the infected which is everyone who has ever had the virus, the recovered which includes all those who after treatment, test results prove the absence of the virus, the dead which comes with all those who lost their lives to the disease.

NCDC Update On Covid-19
Nigeria is not the only country that has taken steps to get citizens abreast with the situations on the ground. Countries like Ghana, the United States, the United Kingdom among others also go a long way to put to their citizens’ first-hand information on what is happening.
We must also know that the platform is not only dedicated to sharing the impact of the disease but also what has been done, what is been done, and what will be done to keep the disease away from infecting more. The platform also gives way for the government to direct what should be done by the people.
As of now, Nigeria has confirmed 208,630 cases among whom 9,537 cases are still active, 196,326 cases have also been treated and discharged. However, 2,767 persons have sadly lost their lives to the deadly disease.
In all, Nigeria has tested a total of 3,142,971 samples with Lagos State coming on top with the highest tests and the highest number of positives cases recorded.
