It is getting more interesting in Ghana after the 2021 edition of the National Science And Maths Quiz as donations keep flying in from institutions and individuals to the teams that took part in the grand finale of the contest especially the team that represented the Keta Senior High Technical School.
Earlier, Citi Tv and Citi FM presented the team with a meet and greet session while the amazing Francisca Lamini received an amount of GHC5,000.00 from the management of the media outlet for her gallantry.
News just coming in has seen the team from Keta SHTS receiving a reward of GHC10,000.00 from Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, the New Patriotic Party’s 2020 Vice Presidential candidate for being able to project the Volta Region on the national quiz map and allowing history to keep it in its archives.
The award was presented on behalf of the presidential aspirant by the Member of Parliament of the North Tongu Constituency who also stands on the ticket of the NDC, Hon Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.
Announcing the gift on his Facebook Page, Mr. Okudzeto Ablakwa, said: “On behalf of Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, I handed over a cash amount of GHS10,000 to the outstanding KETASCO NSMQ team, earlier today.
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang requested that the phenomenal Francisca Lamini be given GHS4,000. Prof. hopes many more girls will be inspired to pursue STEM.”
All thanks to the donors and we hope this goes a long way to inspire other students who are smart as well in academics.
