The Chairperson of the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), Josephine Nkrumah has resigned from her role as the chairperson effective February 21, 2022, for personal reasons.

Josephine Nkrumah has been the deputy chairperson of NCCE from April 1, 2015, to December 19, 2016, when she assumed office as the substantive chairperson from December 20, 2016, till February 21, 2022.

In a letter signed by herself, she disclosed how happy she is to have served in the above-mentioned positions for the country and to have built her capacity in all levels with the privileges she received.

She thanked the staff and everyone who has supported her to bring the commission to the point it is now and asked that everyone accepts her regards in all sincerity.

Josephine Nkrumah went on to establish that she will put all measures in place to ensure that she hands over properly to the commission and whoever assumes the noble role after her.
