Ghana’s first democratically elected president, Jerry John Rawlings before his demise revealed why he never liked his successor, former president John Agyakum Kuffour and his government.
In an interview that is made available to us, the former head of the state disclosed very shocking events that transpired after he left office in the year 2000 as constitutionally required.
According to Rawlings, while in office, he knew his wife was asthmatic and needed some surgery so he started making some arrangements to that effect but not everything was sorted out.
Because he does not own a foreign account, getting funds in the America Dollar became a problem, and his attempt to get help from the then president Kuffour came with a 3-page condition.
Mr. J.J Rawlings also mentioned how all entitlements that are given to former presidents according to the constitution were withdrawn from him including all protocols.
