Nigerian actress, Ini Edo has opened up about having a child of her own, her first child, a daughter which she has through surrogacy.
Some time ago, news had it that Ini Edo has welcomed her first child. Well, the actress has confirmed the news, adding that her dream of becoming a mother is now fulfilled. The actress got married to American businessman Philip Ehiagwina in 2008.

After her marriage, Ini Edo now has a child. A girl who she loves so much and as well as spoken of the best life she intends to give her.

Speaking to a blogger, Stella Dimokokorkus, she said that she had her daughter through surrogacy. According to her, the egg that made the child is hers so the child is genetically her blood.
She further touched that, she chose the path of surrogacy in order to fulfill her long-time dream of becoming a mother and carrying her own child.
Ini Edo explained that she settled for a sperm donor to help complete the process to be complete and the reason is that she wants peace of mind for herself and her child as she sees couples having issues with their children in public places.
Is Ini Edo still married?
Actress Ini Edo as you may already know got married to Nigerian-American businessman Philip Ehiagwina in 2008.
However, Ini Edo is not still married as of 2015 till date.
The couple divorced in 2014, 6 years after their marriage. The reason for their divorce is not known. However, it is rumored that Ini Edo didn’t want to carry a child in her womb.
