A 17-year-old senior high school girl has had a failed suicide attempt which she undertook because of her boyfriend who is not a student of her school of a Student at all.
Reports available to us here indicate that an SHS student who schools at Ajumako Bisease SHS in the Central Region of Ghana attempted to end her life for reasons that have to do with a man she is going out with.
According to the details made available by the Central Regional news correspondent of EIB Network, the girl whose name is withheld from the wide public is the girlfriend of a taxi driver in town and the two have been together since she was in JHS.
Eyewitnesses have it that, they heard screams for help from the hostel where she stays and upon their arrival in her room, she was found in so much pain and foam coming out of her mouth.
Speaking on the incident, it is clear that on 22nd March 2022, this girl drank some detergent after her boyfriend told her he has found someone else so he is calling a quit of their relationship.
She was rushed to the Ajumako Government where she received treatment and upon her release, she is receiving counseling from the school’s counseling unit. The police have been furnished with official documents regarding the incident.
