The Ghana Police Service has begun looking into prophecies made by leaders of the various religious groups in the country on the night of December 31, 2021, by looking at video footages recorded during the crossover services.
In a press statement released by the Police Service, all religious groups are congratulated for adhering to the directive of the police and not making doom prophecies during the period.
However, the service further stated that some video footage recorded and made available to them suggests that some prophets went ahead to make some prophecies that need to be looked into hence the need for an investigation.
The Ghana Police Service reassures the general public that, they are not against religious practices or the performance of religious doctrines, however, if such practices undermine the laws of the country, they shall be dealt with accordingly.
