The Ghana Education Service has begun receiving applications from qualified candidates to fill various headship vacancies in Senior High Schools as well as Senior High Technical Schools in the Volta Region.
A letter issued by the service stated the intention of the service and what applicants should do in the application process.
Here’s how to apply for the positions of Assistant Headmaster/Headmistress into any of the vacant schools in the Vola Region:
APPLICATION FOR APPOINTMENT AS ASSISTANT HEADMASTER/HEADMISTRESS OF SENIOR HIGH SCHOOLS AND VICE PRINCIPALS OF TECHNICAL INSTITUTES IN THE VOLTA REGION
Applications are invited from qualified service teachers on the grade of Assistant Director 1 and above for consideration to be appointed as Assistant Headmasters/Headmistresses and Vice Principals to fill vacancies in some Senior High Schools and Technical Institutes within the Region.
Successful candidates should be ready to serve in any school in the Region. (Please attach an undertaking to accept posting anywhere within the Region).
REQUIRED QUALIFICATION
Applicant must be:
a. A Graduate Professional Teacher with experience in school administration and should be able to serve for four (4) years before retirement (A Second degree is an
added advantage.) b. Must be on the grade of Assistant Director I for a minimum of two years.
DESIRED QUALIFICATION
Applicant must have held any one or a combination of the following positions
Head of Department for Three (3) years ii) Senior Housemaster/ Mistress for Three (3) years
iii) Guidance and Counselling Co-ordinator for Three (3) years
iv) House Master/ Mistress for five (5) years
v) Head of a public basic school for five (5) years
In addition to the above, the applicant should have a very satisfactory work history and conduct within the Ghana Education Service.
Applicants should fill four (4) copies of Application Forms (Available at all. Municipal/District Education Offices – Volta Region). Completed application forms must be accompanied by a Confidential Report and Appraisal Forms from Municipal/District Directors and Heads of Institutions.
All completed application forms should reach the Regional Director no later than Friday 28th January 2022,
