Francisca Lamini, the female contestant who made history at the 2021 edition of Ghana’s National Science And Maths Quiz has been presented with a cash prize of GHC4,000 issued from the 2020 Vice Presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).
Since the grand finale of the National Science and Maths Quiz was held in the Great Hall of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science And Technology, lots of amazing rewards have been coming into the bronze medalists, Keta Senior High Technical School, and their female history maker.
Well, the rewards do not seem to be ending any time soon as more keeps coming in for Francisca Lamini and the team. Citi Tv and Citi Fm offered Francisca a cash prize of GHC5,000.00 some days ago for her gallantry.
In one of the unsuspecting moments, the Member of Parliament for the North Tongu Constituency of the Volta Region, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has made a GHC10,000.00 cash donation to the Keta SHTS team and GHC4,000.00 to Francisca Lamini on behalf of the 2020 Vice Presidential candidate on the ticket of the NDC.
In a social media announcement, Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang said: “Earlier today I made a cash donation of GHS10,000 to the history-making KETASCO NSMQ team through my aide, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa.
I requested that the phenomenal Francisca Lamini be given GHS4,000. It is my hope that many more girls will be inspired to pursue STEM.”
