Ghana actress and businesswoman Fella Makafui is on the streets of Twitter crying after losing her GH¢150.00 to e-levy on a single transaction in a day.
The public is in tears after the government of Ghana abandoned its calls to rollout the controversial e-levy at a rate of 1.5% as opposed to the calls for a reduction in the rate.
In all cases, celebrities and politicians were not exempted from the levy, and neither were they silent in the aftermath of the implementation.
In a tweet, Fella Makafui lamented how she was heavily charged for one transaction she made on the very day the e-levy was rolled out May, 1.
She said; This E-Levy thing …waaaww !! SMH !! They charged me 150cedis for 10k transaction!! What !!!
