Gabon coach at the 2021 AFCON, Patrice Neveu jabs the Black Stars. The 2021 AFCON has come with many instances of displeasure and the Black Stars of Ghana are claiming to have fallen victim to this supposed displeasure that some countries have already complained about.
Ghana lost her first group match in the competition to Morocco and has drawn her second match with Gabon. This turn of events has put the coach, the management team, and the entire team under pressure that they have begun playing the blame game.
The Black Stars management says their Gabon counterparts defied the rule of fair play on some instances during the game that led to the scoring of their equalizer.
But reacting to the comments from the Black Stars camp, the coach of Gabon, Patrice Neveu does not see why Ghana, who he claims has been involved in breaking the fair play rule could point fingers at his side.
In his reaction statement at the post-match interview, Patrice Neveu said:
“The word Fair Play is an English word. We don’t have this word in French. Before you (Ghana) lecture me about Fair Play, you (Ghana) were involved in so many instances that do not show that you were practicing it exactly.” – Gabon coach, Patrice Neveu
