Where Is Coach Mike Pressler Now?

The varsity lacrosse program at Highland Park High School has chosen Mike Pressler as its head coach. Pressler is just the third head coach of Highland Park Lacrosse in the last 20 years.

Scot’s 27 years of success from Bantam (1st–4th grades), Youth, and High School levels will also be based on his knowledge of coaching and passion for the game.

The Highland Park Lacrosse family is pleased to welcome Mike and his wife Susan to Highland Park, according to Ryan Moss, president of the Highland Park Lacrosse Board.

“It is a fantastic chance to have a coach of Mike’s level guide our boys and program forward,” he added.

Coach Pressler has already announced his retirement after leading the Bryant Bulldogs to fame on a national scale.

In addition, Pressler served as Duke University’s head coach for 16 years before going on to Bryant. He served as the head coach of Ohio Wesleyan for four seasons prior to Duke.

Pressler has won three ACC Coach of the Year honors in addition to being named National Coach of the Year after leading the 2005 Duke Blue Devils to an NCAA single-season record of 17 victories.

Pressler was inducted into the Connecticut Sports Hall of Fame in 1998, and the Wilton (Connecticut) High School Hall of Fame in 2010, respectively.

When the 2010 ILF World Championships were held in Manchester, England, the U.S. Men’s National Team, which he served as head coach, won gold. He also worked as an assistant with the national squad that won the gold medal in 2002.

Mike Pressler’s Involvement In Duke Lacrosse Case

Pressler took over as the head coach of the Duke Blue Devils in 1991, but he was fired in 2006 after three members of the squad were falsely accused of rape.

Additionally, Duke blatantly characterized Pressler’s termination as a resignation, implying that the coach had quit due to the alleged misconduct of the players.

For the same reason that he believed the players were innocent, Pressler had argued against postponing the lacrosse season until the DNA test results were known.

In addition, Pressler offers his viewpoint on the incident in “It’s Not About the Truth: The Untold Story of the Duke Lacrosse Rape Case and the Lives It Shattered,” a book he co-authored with Don Yaeger.

Mike Pressler’s Net Worth And Salary

As a result of his potential fortune from his tenure as a head coach, Coach Pressler’s net worth is estimated to be around $3 million. While working, his salary was good as compared to his job requirement.

According to another account, Pressler filed a lawsuit against Duke in October 2007 on the grounds that the institution had disregarded the terms of the private settlement.

The action sought to void the contract and seek damages in court, as opposed to arbitration, as stipulated in his contract.

The final day before the start of discovery, March 31, 2010, saw a settlement between Duke and Pressler. Although the financial terms of the settlement were kept secret, Duke expressed regret.
