Cornelia Djordjormey is a Ghanaian philanthropist, social activist, and humanitarian who began supporting the needy in society through her own foundation while pursuing tertiary education.

Cornelia Djordjormey, full name Cornelia Kafui Djordjormey was born on July 18, 1996, at the 37 Military Hospital in Accra, in the Greater Accra Region of the Republic of Ghana.

Growing up as a young girl, she faced the hardships that life has to offer while she was still in the elementary stages of her academic ladder.

Cornelia spent the early years of her life with her aunt in the Volta Region. She is the only child of her parents, Mary Korkor Yeboah, her mother, and Victor Kofi Djordjormey, her father of blessed memory.

Cornelia Djordjormey started school at Global evangelical basic school, in Keta, Tettekope in the Volta Region where she schooled from nursery to basic six before moving on to Sakumono school complex and finally to Trust Emmanuel school complex where she sat for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE)

She moved on to have her high school education in Ideal College SHS before moving on to the University of Ghana, Legon to study Political Science, English, and Theatre Arts.

Having lived under the hardship of life herself, Cornelia Djordjormey while in the university started an initiative to support the less privileged in the society.

The little effort she put up has grown into the Lady Cornelia Foundation through which a number of people both the young and old have benefited immensely.

The foundation has an annual festival of taking on the streets of Accra in the country’s capital city to provide food to the needy in January every year.

You may want to contact the foundation with your little support for the needy on the streets of Ghana. Reach out to them on Facebook.
