In this article, I will be sharing with you how to do the MTN sim registration and re-registration using the Sim registration app. This will help you keep your sim card after the deadline passes.
The government of Ghana has given a directive to all the telecommunication networks in Ghana to have their customers register their sim cards as well as do the sim re-registration for those who are already using their sim cards.
Now that we have looked at the overview of this article, let us now move to look at how you can register your MTN sim card before September 30, 2022.

How To Do MTN Biometric SIM Registration
Follow these steps to complete your MTN biometric registration as soon as possible:
- Dial *404#
- Select 1, to register
- Enter your Ghana card number without the hyphen
- Enter your surname
- Enter your first name (s)
- Enter your Date of Birth (order Day 00, Month 00, Year 0000)
- Enter your gender
- Confirm your details
Your linking of the Ghana Card to your SIM card is complete now, wait for your confirmation message and registration code for the biometric registration.
Using The MTN SIM Registration App
After receiving your unique code, the next registration phase will be done on the MTN registration App which is called MTN Agent. The registration process for phase 2 can be done only by an MTN agent.
Using The GH SIM Self Reg App
The process can also be completed using the GH SIM Self Reg APP which can only be used on some android phones. Visit the google play store and search for the app. Remember that the app; GH SIM SELF REG does not work on IOS for now.
Kindly visit the nearest MTN customer service point to get your biometrics captured if cannot do it yourself to keep your Sim active after September 30, 2022.
