The Ghana Education Service (GES) has invited Junior High School teachers to attend a 3-day non-residential training on the implementation of the new Common Core Programme from 12 January to 14th January 2022.
In a presser published by GES, management has made a decision to ensure full implementation of the Common Core Programme (CCP) in the 2022/2023 academic year hence the need to hold cluster-based training for all Junior High schools teachers.
The program which is dedicated to aligning the Primary School academic studies with that of the Junior High School's in terms of the subjects taught at the Basic School level was due to take effect from the 2020/2021 academic year but couldn't for various reasons.
GES requests that Metropolitan, Municipal and District Directors of Education decide the venues where the cluster-based training sessions. The CCP training will take place from Wednesday 12th January to Friday 14th January 2022 in their respective jurisdictions.
In the same space, all visually impaired teachers are advised to attend and participate in this training program by going along with their brailles and recorders.
The hearing impaired JHS teachers are expected to be supported by their hearing counterparts to enable them to participate fully in the training program.
