The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has announced its intention to increase the current tariff charged by some 148% due to an increase in the cost of living in Ghana at the moment.
The new proposal if approved by the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC) will mean that the current bill you pay based on the point charge will increase by some 148%.
In this article, we bring to you the current charges based on the amount per point as compared to the new charges if the commission approves the rate and allows ECG to go on with it.
