Paul Adom-Otchere, the Board Chairman of Ghana Airports Company Limited has been allegedly busted in a corruption scandal on the purchase of some Christmas Trees to be placed at the airports in the festive season.
Paul Adom-Otchere, who is a broadcaster with Metro TV Ghana has since run to social media to deny the scandal by giving further details of the issue but his further explanation of the purchase of the 4 Christmas Trees which were mounted at the Kotoka International Airport exposes him and social media reactions are over the place.
The Board budgeted GHC21,000 for each Christmas Tree and an additional GHC2,000 for assembling each tree. An idea many people have described as scandalous and unimaginable.
But in his explanation, Mr. Paul Adom-Otchere said that the four Christmas Trees cost the company GHC34,000 and that was at a huge discount by the supplier.
He further assured the general public that the board and management of the Ghana Airports Company Limited are committed to supporting the Minister of Transports to bring the best to the people of Ghana through the vision of the President, Nana Akufo-Addo.
