Samuel Ayise Pope, assembly member of mangoase electoral area has come out clearly to debunk allegations that he has ordered the ‘destruction’ of a concrete bridge which was made in kind courtesy of Michael Power, A community member.
Earlier we brought you a story-making round alleging that an assemblyman ordered the destruction of a bridge and we also promised to bring to you the other version of the story, so here we go.
According to the assemblyman in a video which we have shared with you in this same article, the bridge has not been destroyed but it is rather under expansion since it was smaller than they’ll need.
He explained that they needed to make something bigger so that when there is an eventuality and bigger vehicles are expected in the community, the bridge can withstand the pressure.
In his explanation. he said Michael Power did a good job by providing for the needs of the people. His financial power provided a bridge or 3 coverts and the assembly has decided to add 3 more to the length and an additional 7-set to expand the width.
