Aliou Cisse is a former player for the Senegalese national team and the current manager of the country’s national team who led the team to end their AFCON drought after winning the 2021 AFCON in Cameroon.
Cisse has become the heroe of the year 2022 in Senegal for the single honour he has brough to the country after years of fighting and working hard to get there.
Currently, the name Aliou Cisse has become a household name because, a man who wins must be celebrated and that is exactly what the people of Senegal are doing for him.

Aliou Cissé lost several members of his family in the MV Le Joola ferry disaster that occurred off the coast of The Gambia on September 26, 2002.
In a bid to honor the lives lost in the tragic event, Cissé participated in a planned charity match between Senegal and Nigeria that raised money for the families of the more than 1,000 reported victims.
Birmingham City, one of his former clubs, collected money for the victims’ families and honored Aliou Cissé by displaying a giant Senegal flag during a game against Manchester City.
